Life in ... Bedminster

Bedminster, BS3

Bristol Beer Factory has become a landmark on the now-iconic North Street in Bedminster – a proud member of the local community and a pioneer of independent brewing in Bristol.

BS3, covering popular Bristol neighbourhoods like Bedminster and Southville, is a vibrant postcode known for its strong community spirit and eclectic culture. With excellent access to amenities, BS3 boasts a wide array of shops, cafés, and services, plus great transport links via bus, train (from Parson Street and Bedminster stations), and cycle routes into the city centre.

Local attractions include the expansive green space of Victoria Park, the annual Upfest street art festival that transforms the area with colour, and Greville Smyth Park—a community hub in its own right.

I’d describe BS3 as Creative, connected, and community-driven. The area thrives on independent businesses like the ever-popular Tobacco Factory, Marks Bread, and Burra Cafe to name but a few, each contributing to BS3’s distinct character.

“Built on a passion for pubs, we continue to support our venues with a laser focus on raising up these vital community spaces. With 82% of our entire production being delivered to these local venues we work with the pubs to create a space for their community to step away from the day-to-day and be totally present with their people. They’re your local.

We wear the Bristol name as a badge of honour. We live, breathe and brew this city. Now it’s time for us to pour back.”

“People are at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s our incredible community or our amazing team, we’re committed to putting people at the centre of our decision making. At the heart of the neighbourhood, Bristol Beer Factory plays a proud role in shaping local life – not just brewing great craft beer, but supporting events, sponsoring local initiatives, and helping foster community connections through our Tap Room, collaborations, and social projects such as Talk Club and our “Brewed 2 Give” scheme..”

We also offer weekly tours of the brewery itself, which can be booked online, where you’ll also find our online shop. Alongside our original North Street taproom, we’ve a handful of sites in central Bristol, all of which offer great beer, great food, and a great atmosphere.
